the rich Indian culture by presenting the folk dances of India as Guests of Honour in the ‘Annual International Folk

host school. This Global Programme from 27th May to 4th
June 2013 aimed to equip the students with a global perspective, initiated by
Ms. Inderpreet Kaur Ahluwalia (Education Supervisor-Primary), the programme gave the students an opportunity to
communicate and collaborate with students from different cultures, so that they
learn and appreciate the culture and
traditions of other countries and share their knowledge in the field of
dance, curricular and extra co-curricular activities.
The
students shared the stage with other Dance groups from Cyprus, Ukraine,
Romania, Georgia, Ingushetia and Cuvasistan.
The Indian dances were also performed during the Parade and at the City
Square. The performances of the Indian Students were
highly appreciated and applauded by the
esteemed guests including the City Mayor. The rhythm of the dandhiya, the beats of the
bhangra and the riot of colors of the Indian costumes left the audiences
enthralled and spellbound wanting to know more about the rich Indian Culture.

Museum, Tuntun Hani, Turkish bath etc.
