VISIT BY THE STUDENTS OF YHSS TO SMS JANAKPURI


INDIA - BHUTAN EXCHANGE PROGRAMME




IN COLLABORATION WITH 

OUR NEIGHBORING COUNTRY - 

BHUTAN 










 ST. MARK’S BRINGS  ITS NEIGHBOURING COUNTRY CLOSER….


  In the series of Global Collaborations with other countries of the world, the land of pristine beauty and innocence, Bhutan was chosen as our partner country for an Educational and Cultural Exchange programme. But before this Historic culmination, the responsibility of  deep  convincing  on the other side of the border was required to be done. This responsibility was taken up by Ms. Archana Tyagi, our Global Projects Coordinator, who with her persuasive and negotiative skills communicated with the members of the Ministry of Education, Royal Government of Bhutan -  Ms.  Kezang Choden Dorji, Director, Department of  Curriculum, Research & Development, and Mr. Karma Tenzin. Chief Program officer,Scouts Division, Department of Youth and Sports.. She further added that this collaborative venture between the two oriental civilizations will add to the Cerebral, Geographical and Cultural growth of the students. Thus after the   formalities  of collaboration,Yangchenphug Higher Secondary school, Thimphu which was  established in 1965  was chosen as  a partner school for India-Bhutan Educational and Cultural exchange programme.

To take this collabopration to next level the global project coordinator personally visited Bhutan and presented memento and a letter of collaboration between the two institutions to the Vice Principal Ms. Sita Pradhan and to the exchange program coordinator Ms. Thinley Lhazom. Thus giving birth to a new and exciting era of love and friendship between the two young nations of the world.
